Essay Writing Workshop
A comprehensive, four-session workshop that takes students from “I have no idea what to write about”, to a polished personal statement that is ready to submit. Workshops include personalized brainstorming exercises, as well as guidance with topic selection, grammar and concise, clear writing. Workshops are offered as one-on-one sessions. Early Decision Bundle
This is the ideal package for the student applying Early Decision to a college with required supplemental essay(s). The ED Bundle includes the Essay Writing Workshop plus mini-workshops for all supplemental essays required by that school, as well as a comprehensive review of your entire Common Application, with special emphasis on the Activities section.
In addition to the Common App Personal Statement, many college applications also require a number of supplemental essays (often anywhere from 1 to 5 additional essays per application).
Supplemental Essay Bundle: 3 Applications
For students applying to multiple highly competitive schools with extra essay requirements, this workshop will provide you with key organizational and streamlining support for 3 supplemental applications and includes advice about what colleges are looking for in these school-specific essays and exercises to help guide your research in answering their prompts. Edits and advice for up to 4 drafts per essay.
Essay Tuneup
For the student that already has a working draft, this mini-workshop will involve taking a deep dive into your essay draft. We will review the expectations/goals of the essay, identify the key elements that you want to convey, and work together on editing, reworking and fine-tuning the essay so that it is ready for submission.
Individual Supplemental Essays
For students with only 1 or 2 supplemental essays, I offer mini-workshops to brainstorm and explore what colleges are looking for in these essays, as well as editing feedback for up to 4 drafts per essay.
Interview Prep
I encourage students to take every opportunity to show who they are. So if a school offers an interview, take it! This one-hour prep session will include a mock interview as well as strategies to increase your comfort and articulation during the official interview.
Scholarship Essays
Much like college applications, scholarship applications usually require at least one essay that is arguably the most important element of the application. I help students identify topics with overlapping subjects that can be used for multiple essays/applications.
Comprehensive
Application Review
If you are looking for the peace of mind that comes from having your application reviewed by an additional set of objective, professional eyes, this service is for you. I will review all components of your Common Application, with close attention to your Personal Statement and your Activities section. Any editing suggestions will be achievable within a short time frame and will focus on style and syntax rather than content. Student must allow a minimum of 7 days for comprehensive review including editing exchange.

Editing assistance with anything from research papers to Junior Year Abroad applications.
